Architecture conceived to create a civic place open to users in the greenery
The Santa Maria Annunziata hospital, built at the end of the 1960s, has begun an overall modernization process which includes numerous renovations and new construction. The scope consists of the following:
- the construction of the new entrance (project 1);
- the creation of the new ER (project 2);
- the complete restructuring of diagnostics (work 3);
- the creation of the new cafeteria and the services connected to it (work 4);
- the functional reorganization and complete renovation of the Patient Intake Area/reception area and the ambulatories (work 5);
- the construction of the new transfusion center (work 6).
The complex of interventions is part of an overall vision of reconfiguration of spaces and services, aimed at transforming the historic garrison into a new and modern hospital, with characteristics of innovation, efficiency and quality, from a healthcare, architectural and energy perspective . The process of internal transformation and functional and urban regeneration is structured in successive phases and is made possible by a coordinated plan of organizational reorganizations, internal transfers, preparatory and temporary works, aimed at allowing healthcare activities to function throughout the entire refurbishment process.
