Prof. Arch. Paolo Felli

General Director & Founding Principal

Former Full Professor at the University of Florence‘s “Pierluigi Spadolini” Department of Architectural Technologies and Design and Head of the Final Synthesis Laboratory under the Department of Architectural Technologies and Design. As well as the instructor of the specialization course in Project Management of Hospital Structures.

Member of national and international associations such as: the Academy of Design Arts of Florence, the Public Health Group PHG/UIA, the inter-university research center TESIS, the Italian Society of Hospital Technology (SITO), the International Academy of Design and Health, Past President and Honorary Member of the Italian Society of Architectural Technology (SITdA).

Responsible for research of international importance, he has published articles, essays and manuals on material technologies and healthcare construction, including: The Maternity House: Guidelines for Design, ETS, Pisa, 2006; Valdichiana United Hospitals in Montepulciano. The Single Hospital, Alinea Ed., Florence 2003; Torricelli M.C., Del Nord R., Felli P., Materials and Technologies for Architecture, Ed. Laterza, Rome, 2000.

The academic endevors takes place in parallel with the professional one begun by collaborating with Pierluigi Spadolini on some significant projects, including: the Cassa di Risparmio di Pisa (1968), the Palazzo dei Congressi in Florence (1971), the restoration of the historic headquarters of Monte of the Paschi di Siena (1972). The work with a master like Pierluigi Spadolini will establish a design methodology that will transform into a legacy aimed at enhancing the social and human etymology of architecture and demonstrating the importance of technology within the culture of design. A culture that adopts research as a tool for interpreting reality and generating an architecture that expresses, as Paolo Felli recalls in many conferences, "the interest in continuously evolving material culture, opening up every area of intervention to design investigation, without prejudice to scale: from the architecture, to the system, to the component”.

Arch. Giulio Felli

General Director & Senior Principal

After graduating, in Architecture from the University of Florence, he began collaborations with several studios in Europe, participating in the conceptualization and design of international projects and competitions on an urban scale, and dealing with issues relating to environmental and energy sustainability.

In 1996 he began his professional activity at the CSPE and in 1999 he became an Associate, dealing with the coordination of the design in the various phases, from the concept to the realization of the projects. Since 2006 he has held the role of Principal and Technical Director.

He works on various international projects and competitions as project manager, also in collaboration with renowned British and American design firms.
Many of the projects he has worked on have received awards and accolades for the environmental-friendly solutions adopted.

He held the role of Adjunct Professor at the Department of Architecture at the University of Ferrara focusing on the "Design of Building Systems" and Architectural Construction courses for 10 years.

Arch. Corrado Lupatelli

Associate Technical Director

He began his professional activity as an architect in 1984, dealing with design and construction management in the residential and commercial building sectors with particular attention to conservative restoration. Since 1990 it has focused interests and activities in the field of social and healthcare construction. Since 1999 member of CSPE and since 2006 member and Technical Director of CSPE Srl. Over the years he has coordinated the development of numerous hospital projects, following the construction of many of them in various Italian regions. A Fire Prevention Professional ministerial registered, he is responsible for this sector for many public and private CSPE projects, both in the planning and implementation phases. Since 1998 he has been involved in the health and safety on construction sites. Safety Coordinator for the main public and private CSPE projects. both in the design and execution phases of public and private hospital and university works for projects worth over 400 million euros.

Arch. Manola Caruso

Associate Technical Director

Graduated with a specialization in Industrial Design at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Florence, while at the same time collaborating with architectural firms throughout Florence.
In 1998 she began his professional activity with CSPE, where she assumed the role of Technical Coordinator and manager of the ISO 9001:2018 Quality System.

She has been designing public structures for over twenty-five years, following the
projects in all phases of design and construction, with particular attention to the functionality of the hospital bodies and the distribution effectiveness of the areas.
She is the contact person in relations with institutions, in particular for aspects related to the verification and regulatory compliance of projects as well as the minimum structural requirements for authorization and accreditation.

Since 2019 she has been a Principal of the firm, also managing the role of Technical Director (Principal).
