In 2002 the Hospital of Montepulciano (Siena) was named by UNICEF-OMS (Organizzazione Mondiale per la Sanità: World Health Organization) as the fourth “most civilized hospital” and recognized by the “Tribunal for patient rights” as the “safest and most welcoming hospital in Italy”.

In 2000 the Meyer Children Hospital  of Florence gained funds from the European Community (contract No NNE5/2001/295) for the quality of its technology aimed at the safeguarding of resources and energy saving.

In 2008 the Meyer Children Hospital was awarded The Toscana Ecoefficiente Prize for its sustainable design by the Tuscan Region Authority.
